Trade Application Form

New Customers

Coach House are a "Trade-Only" supplier and require evidence of business trading, before supplying any potential new customer. Documentary proof (i.e. Vat Certificate, Business Invoices etc), will be required as well as a fully completed Trade Application Form.

We reserve the right to reject any application that we feel is not ‘bona fide’ trade and to turn down any prospective customer, and if we feel that their location could be detrimental to the trading business of an existing account.


Showrooms and Visits

The showrooms are open Monday - Friday, from 8am - 5.30pm. We encourage all customers to visit our showrooms, but must stress that it is a very busy working environment, so unfortunately children under the age of 16 will not be permitted entry. Each party visiting the showrooms is restricted to two people per party, unless prior authorisation from management has been granted.

A Cash & Carry facility is in operation, minimum purchase is £250 + vat. If same day collection is required, all orders must be placed before 4.00pm. No food or drinks are to be taken in to the showrooms at any time.


Orders and Delivery

Our minimum invoice value for delivery is £500 + vat. Customers must have good access and we must be able to get a 40' Articulated vehicle within close proximity to the delivery point. Drivers are unaccompanied and in the case of larger pieces of Furniture, will require assistance with unloading. Drivers cannot leave vehicles unattended, so please do not expect them to take items to upstairs storerooms, cellars etc.

All our vehicles operate a multi-drop facility, so unfortunately it is not possible to state an exact delivery time, but can usually inform you of the day and whether morning or afternoon. Also all drivers have mobile phones and are constantly in contact with Head Office, so we can usually give you up to date information, whilst the vehicle is on-route.

It will not be possible to make deliveries if closing day’s co-inside with our route planning.


Payment

We do not operate a credit facility, so therefore all goods must be paid for either on collection or on delivery. All new accounts are required to pay by either pro-forma, cash, debit/credit card or bankers draft (unless a prior arrangement has been agreed). After 3 satisfactory transactions, cheque on delivery will be accepted. If payment is not available after a vehicle is on-route, the goods will not be unloaded and a charge of £50 will be levied for the inconvenience.

Bounced cheques will incur a £10 charge and all future transactions will be conducted on a cash payment basis.

All goods remain the property of Coach House until paid for in full.


Damages / Returns etc

All returns, faulty goods, damages and discrepancies must be notified by letter or fax within 7 days of receipt of goods. All goods must be returned in the original packaging and details must include Stock Number, Invoice Number and Date.

A fully completed returns note, obtainable from the driver must accompany items returned to our drivers. We will not accept items with price tickets attached.

Failure to comply with this procedure will result in items not being credited or replaced.

NB There is no exception to this rule.


Ireland North & Southern

All Irish orders will incur a 4% surcharge towards the cost of delivery and minimum invoice value is £1000.


Export Orders

Coach House will deliver to any designated shipper within mainland UK. The minimum invoice delivery value is £500.

All delivery/freight costs after UK delivery are to be borne by the purchaser.

For larger orders we can pack and load full containers on site. All container, transport costs etc. are to be the responsibility of the purchaser.

Container packing costs and all export orders that require extra packaging will incur an extra charge as follows:-

  • 10% up to £1,000
  • 7.5% from £5,000
  • 5% from £10,000
  • 3% from £20,000

Unless previously negotiated.

If Export packaging is not requested all goods will be dispatched in ordinary packaging and any other protection will be presumed to be the responsibility of the designated Shipper.

All Export orders are to be paid for before delivery to the shipper.

Banker's details and Swift transfer details are available on request.


Direct Containers

We offer a Direct Container service for customers who wish to order items produced in a particular factory. For customers who have the ability to take delivery of containers, obvious savings can be made. Please contact a member of the Coach House sales team for further details.

Please note that these terms and conditions only apply to customers who deal direct with Coach House in Altham.
